How to choose your VOIP providerAT&T CallVantage This service is now rated #1 by many reviewers. CallVantage offers consistency of voice and customer service that is lacking in other providers. CallVantage comes with many amenities including fax support, speed dialing, three-way calling and call logs. E911 service is now included providing your address to emergency personnel. Cox Digital Telephone Cox is also given high marks by reviewers. Consumersearch says Cox has the "best call quality" among the top providers. Cox provides extras including call rejection, caller ID, three-way calling and call forwarding. You can subscribe to thier E911 service as well. Vonage Vonage iis the best known and the larges VoIP provider. However. my experience is that the call quality is below Cox and AT&T. The reliability is also lower. Vonage does have a large supply of features, though, including caller ID, call waiting, conference calling and traffic alerts. E911 is also availble to most subscribers. Skype Skype is special software that permits you to make phone calls anywhere in the world at no charge to other Skype users. Skype also provides add-on plans that cost about 2 cents per minute to call regular phones anywhere in the world. At the time of this review, Skype's voice quality was below the other top providers. However, it is very easy to set up and use.
